The full-day event is aimed at highlighting the importance of the poultry sector to Ghana’s economy, campaign for the patronage of locally produced chicken and to shine light on job opportunities within the Poultry industry.
The Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa-Sarpong, has noted that the program set as a platform for industry players in the poultry value chain to interact and advocate for more consumption of locally produced chicken.
“The initiative seeks to encourage the purchase and consumption of local poultry to Ghanaians; create a platform for households, stakeholders to be informed about the significance of consuming locally bred birds (chicken, guinea fowl and turkey), as they enjoy a fun-filled moment with family and friends” she said.
Highlighting activities of the event includes, live band music, cooking competition among CEOs and public figures, alongside other side attractions activities like bouncy castle, face painting, board games, to create fun and excitement among families, organizations, and individuals who will be patronizing the event. Entry is free for all.
