The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Abigail Elorm Mensah ,has pledged to significantly improve the organization’s loan recovery rate and enhance support for women farmers.
With the current loan recovery rate at 51%, she stated her determination to increase this figure, ensuring that MASLOC can serve even more small businesses and farmers across Ghana.
In her official takeover ceremony in Accra, she also emphasized that the more loans recovered, the more people would benefit from MASLOC’s services. the CEO, expressed her vision for a more accessible and efficient MASLOC, stating that future loan applications would be possible from the comfort of borrowers’ homes, thanks to the introduction of digital solutions and a paperless operation.
She also outlined plans to empower women farmers by facilitating access to markets for their products, helping them repay their loans on time and build financial independence. She reassured stakeholders that her leadership would be focused on transparency, discipline, and cooperation, as she works to improve MASLOC’s services and achieve its goals.
