Agrihouse Foundation, in collaboration with the 1 Household 1 Garden initiative and the Monthly Executive Agribusiness Masterclass, is poised to host a transformative one-day training session on backyard farming. Scheduled for Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at the Agrihouse Training Centre in Dzorwulu with the aim of fostering sustainable agriculture and empowering individuals with vital agricultural skills.
Themed “Empowering Job Development and Agricultural Innovation Businesses,” the masterclass is tailored to provide attendees with an understanding of backyard farming essentials. Recognizing the pivotal role of practical agricultural skills, the training encompasses a diverse array of topics, including nursery establishment and seed nursing to transplanting, planting mediums, mulching, water management, and irrigation techniques.
The significance of backyard farming cannot be overstated. It offers numerous benefits, including increased food security, improved nutrition, and enhanced household income. Backyard farming allows individuals to grow their own fresh produce, reducing reliance on store-bought goods and ensuring access to nutritious food options.
