Agrihouse foundation is set to host the first-ever Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Production Exhibition and Award from Thursday, April 18 to Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Techiman at the Bonokyempem Hall Techiman.
The Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards is an initiative focused on creating a comprehensive platform for trade, connectivity, and cooperation in the agriculture sector, integrating pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, irrigation, plant protection equipment, and logistics.
Organized by Agrihouse Foundation, the Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Production Exhibition and Award aims to promote efficiency and innovation for sustainable bumper harvests.
To be held under the theme “Recognizing Efficiency and Innovation to Drive Sustainable Bumper Harvest: The Role of Agricultural Input Dealers.” the event will provide a platform for networking among stakeholders, including organizations, seed companies, fertilizers, farmers, agribusinesses, and individuals, to discuss and promote proven agricultural innovations and technologies.
The maiden edition of the Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards promises insightful discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities among agricultural stakeholders, with strong support from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. It seeks to promote sustainable crop production, educate farmers on good agricultural practices, ensure the availability of crucial resources throughout the agricultural value chain, and facilitate connections between input dealers or service providers and farmers.
Participating agrochemical companies will benefit from opportunities such as brand awareness building, product launches, increased sales, buyer education, and product demonstrations during the three-day event. Exceptional actors within the agro-input industry will also be recognized and awarded for their contributions to agricultural development.
Additionally, farmers and agripreneurs will have opportunities to exhibit their products, engage in business-to-business meetings, attend award ceremonies and presentations, and connect with input dealers or service providers. The event targets various stakeholders, including agrochemicals, seed companies, fertilizers, irrigation, equipment and machinery companies, farmers, aggregators, policymakers, finance, development partners, agribusinesses, IT professionals, and the general public.
The highlight of the three-day event will be the Awards Ceremony, where outstanding input dealers will be celebrated for their dedication to ensuring healthy yields and bumper harvests. The awards will be based on a monitoring and evaluation report, recognizing companies that excel in their contributions to Ghana’s input sector.
