He said the projects and events of the Foundation purposely advance the transformation of the sector, as knowledge imparted at these agri-focused events lead skills and knowledge improvement of participants.
Mr. Korboe made these comments at the recent 3rd Livestock, Poultry and Fisheries Tradeshow, held in Accra, at the Afua Sutherland Children’s Park, over a period of two day, on the theme, “WE MOVE! W)N YAA”
He said the livestock, poultry and fisheries sectors continue to play major roles in the lives of small-scale holder farmers, fishers, processors and trades within the country’s agricultural value chain.
“These sectors serve as sources of income, employment, food supply, asset saving, soil fertility, transportation, agricultural diversification and sustainable agricultural growth and eradicating rural poverty,” he stressed.
In this light, Mr. Korboe noted that NFFAWAG will continue to be part of LiPF Tradeshow, to promote livestock, poultry and the fisheries sub sectors.
Touching on this year’s theme, he said it was in the right direction; as participants and stakeholders will be improve on their knowledge in production, processing, marketing and sale of animal agr-products, especially in these times.
“The Tradeshow will also serve as an opening to new entrants to recognize the value chain in this sub sector as a big employment avenue,” he added.
He extended gratitude to Agrihouse Foundation for the opportunity to partner the two day event, and reiterated NFFAWAG’s continuous support in subsequent editions.
