Nana Sarpong Siriboe I, The Akyempimhene of the Juaben Traditional Area and CEO of Siriboe Farms, have commended Agrihouse Foundation’s Agricultural Students Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue (AG-STUD) Bootcamp initiative for its potential to boost the Agricultural Sector in Ghana.
speaking in an interview with Agriwatch news,Nana Sarpong Siriboe I, who is also the 2022 national best farmer in Ghana , emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting Agriculture in the country. He also urged Participants to take advantage of the bootcamp to learn from industry experts.
“The AG-STUD initiative is a step in the right direction towards promoting Agriculture in Ghana. It is encouraging to see more young people getting involved in the industry, and I believe this program will help to further increase their participation,” He stated.
He however commended Agrihouse Foundation for organizing the program, and urged Participants to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain practical skills that will be useful in their farming careers.
The 2022 National Best Farmers comments highlight the need for increased support and investment in the Agricultural sector, particularly in terms of training and mentoring for young people. With the right guidance and resources, the next generation can help to drive the growth and development of the Industry, creating new opportunities and boosting the country’s economy.
The AG-STUD initiative is a career guidance and mentorship program aimed at encouraging young people to consider Agriculture as a viable career option. The program, organized by Agrihouse Foundation, provides students with practical training, industry insights, and networking opportunities.
