The Agricultural Students Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue (AG-STUD) Bootcamp, has helped many individuals achieve success in the Agriculture Sector by providing mentorship, guidance, and networking opportunities.
During the Just ended sixth AG-STUD Bootcamp, past beneficiaries of the program shared their inspiring success stories.
Solomon Benambemon, a 2020 beneficiary of AG-STUD Bootcamp who is now an Agronomist at Jubaili Agrotech Limited, shared how the program helped him secure a job in the leading Agribusiness Company.
“Through AG-STUD Bootcamp and Agrihouse foundation, I was able to network with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the Agriculture Sector, which led to me securing a job at Jubaili Agrotech Limited where I am now making a significant impact,” he said.
Perfect Nyikplorkpo, a former student of Adidome Farm Institute and a 2021 and 2022 beneficiary of AG-STUD bootcamp, shared how the mentorship and guidance she received from the program helped her start her own lettuce, moringa tea, moringa species and natural species production.
“The AG-STUD bootcamp gave me the confidence to venture into agriculture and provided me with the necessary knowledge and skills to start my own business,” she said.
Mamaga Mary Hundo, a 2022 beneficiary located in the Oti Region, also shared how the program gave her the knowledge to start her own Agri-Processing,where she produces ,groundnut paste, soya milk, soya powder, among others.
Micheal Yao Sedofia , a former student of the University of Ghana ,shared how the AG-STUD program helped him to build competence in leadership,business proposal writing and public speaking which has enabled him lead projects such as UGVeg and the design and implementation of tree planting ,and has now gained appointment as a project data facilitator on BRADeTA projects. he however encouraged the 2023 AG-STUD beneficiaries to use the opportunity to learn from the boostcamp.
Obed Asamoah, a 2019 beneficiary, shared how he was assisted with seed capital of 500 Ghana cedis to start a mushroom farm. According to him, within two years, he has scaled up his production and currently supplies mushrooms to some African shops in the US and UK.
The success stories shared by past beneficiaries of AG-STUD Bootcamp demonstrate the significant impact the program has had on their careers and businesses in the agriculture industry.
