The Coordinator for Educational Project at the World Food Forum (WFF) Egypt National Chapter, Ms. Asia Ibrahim, has called for a pan-African digital platform to strengthen youth collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation across the continent’s agrifood systems.
Speaking at the World Food Forum Africa Side Event during the WFF Flagship Programme in Rome, Ms. Ibrahim highlighted the transformative power of connectivity and knowledge sharing in accelerating Africa’s progress toward sustainable and inclusive food systems.
She noted that creating a unified digital hub for young leaders across the continent would allow real-time sharing of best practices, project outcomes, and innovative ideas that drive measurable impact in communities.
“When we connect, we collaborate. When we collaborate, we create impact,” she stated, underscoring that shared learning is the foundation of movement-building and collective progress.

Ms. Ibrahim stressed that empowering young Africans through inclusive platforms, institutional integration, and skills development is essential to building a prosperous and self-reliant continent. Such platforms, she explained, would not only foster innovation but also bridge the gap between youth-led initiatives and institutional partners working to transform Africa’s agrifood systems.
She called on governments, development agencies, and the private sector to support youth-driven digital initiatives that enhance access to information, mentorship, and regional collaboration.
