The News Consultant for the Angel Broadcasting Network , Mr. Gabriel Asante has encouraged the 8th AG-STUD Bootcampers to remain disciplined, ethical, and purpose-driven as they pursue careers in the agricultural space.
Speaking during a media engagement session of the 8th Agricultural Students Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD Africa 2025), organized by Agrihouse Foundation, Mr. Asante emphasized that integrity and adaptability are essential for long-term growth in the agricultural sector.
Addressing the bootcampers during their visit to the Angel Broadcasting Network, Mr. Asante urged them to cultivate a solution-oriented mindset and take personal responsibility in tackling the real challenges confronting Ghana’s agriculture. Among these, he highlighted the safe and responsible use of agrochemicals as a critical area needing the attention of well-trained, ethically minded professionals.
“In this field, discipline is everything. It will determine how far you go and how long you stay,” he stressed. “We need young people who can lead with values, who can be trusted with responsibility, and who will bring real transformation to the sector.”
He further reminded the students that the agricultural sector is filled with opportunities, but one must be prepared to meet them.
“The future of agriculture belongs to those who are not only hardworking, but who are also versatile, curious, and eager to learn,” he said. “You must commit yourselves to a life of continuous learning and personal development. In doing so, you will not only be employable you will become job creators and innovators. You’ll have the power to shape the future of agriculture in Ghana and beyond.”
Mr. Asante concluded by challenging the students to uphold high standards of professionalism and purpose in every aspect of their careers. “Excellence in service and ethical conduct are the cornerstones of sustainable growth in agriculture and beyond,” he noted. “What you do today will determine the kind of impact you make tomorrow.”
The weeklong AG-STUD Bootcamp currently ongoing continues to offer students from tertiary agricultural institutions across the country unique opportunities to learn directly from seasoned experts and leaders in the industry.
