This year, Agrihouse Foundation is committed to ensuring that its annual intervention initiatives are strategically planned, timely, and aligned with clearly defined objectives.
Through deliberate planning, targeted interventions, and a focus on measurable impact, the Foundation aims to strengthen agrifood systems and deliver sustainable results.
In a statement, the Founder and Executive Chair of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, said the Foundation has mapped out a series of strategic project for 2026, each designed to deliver measurable results across the agrifood sector.
She emphasized that the Foundation is determined to ensure that every step and action is not only impactful but also sustainable, aligning with national and continental goals for food security and economic growth.
Agrihouse Foundation has renewed it commitment to helping farmers, agriwomen, women farmers, people with disabilities, and the youth in building resilient and successful paths in their agricultural endeavors through its projects and programmes, while deepening collaborations with local and international partners.
The Foundation continues to work closely with institutions, agribusiness firms, and development agencies to amplify its reach and deliver programmes that are inclusive and transformative.
Ms. Akosa reiterated the Foundation’s vision of influencing the broader agricultural value chain as a leading advocacy group of the sector, as the foundation marks its ninth year of existence with a track record of value and impact.
“This year marks nine (9) years of bringing a vision from concept to reality, contributing to real grassroots agrifood systems impact across communities, districts, and regions,” Ms. Akosa said.
She expressed her gratitude to colleagues for their extraordinary dedication and to farmers, stakeholders, sponsors, and development partners for believing in the Foundation’s vision and supporting efforts to advance the agrifood space.
Key Initiatives for 2026
The Foundation’s 2026 calendar outlines a blueprint of activities aimed at achieving measurable and visible impact within the agricultural space.
- March:The year will kick off with the 8th Gathering of the Royals and the Nana Konadu Legacy Honours, platforms that unite traditional authorities and agrifood stakeholders to promote leadership, collaboration, and recognition of excellence.
- Also in March, the 3rd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awardswill highlight innovation, responsible input usage, and best practices in crop protection.
- May:The Ag-Stud Bootcamp, a capacity-building programme, will equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to advance modern agribusiness and agrifood systems.
- July:Key initiatives will include Ghana Poultry Day, aimed at strengthening the poultry value chain, followed by the Women in Food and Agricultural Leadership Training Forum and the Gold in the Soil Awards, which will empower women leaders, foster innovation, and celebrate outstanding achievements in agriculture.
- October:The year will conclude with Pre-Harvest, a project designed to improve production planning, market readiness, and value chain coordination ahead of the harvesting season.
Through this structured approach, Agrihouse Foundation demonstrates that intentional, tactical, and well thought-through actions are not merely slogans for 2026 but guiding principles behind every initiative.
