Queen mother of Kayera in the Offinso Traditional Area and President of the Queen Mothers Foundation of Ghana, Nana Amma Serwaa Bonsu, has been selected to join the speakers for the impactful “Call to Action” segment at the upcoming 8th Gathering of the Royals.
The event, set for March 31, 2026, at the GNAT Hall in Accra, will gather over 600 Queen Mothers, traditional leaders, and Market Queens. Under the theme “Seeds of Change: From Leadership to Legacy – Women Transforming the Agrifood Systems,” Nana Amma Serwaa Bonsu’s address is expected to be a defining moment, urging traditional leaders to take a more aggressive and formal role in securing Ghana’s food future.

As the head of the Queen Mothers Foundation of Ghana, Nana Amma Serwaa Bonsu has long been a champion for the grassroots. Her leadership has consistently focused on three critical pillars:
Empowering women by creating pathways for female traditional leaders to move from ceremonial roles to active economic players, as well as providing the necessary advocacy and resources to ensure smallholder farmers can access markets and sustainable inputs. She has been instrumental in driving initiatives that improve food trade and enhance the livelihoods of communities.
The Queen Mothers Foundation, under her guidance, has become a central force in promoting sustainable agriculture, ensuring that the wealth of the land translates into the well-being of the people.
The Call to Action segment of the event is designed to move beyond advocacy toward measurable policy and investment outcomes in the agricultural sector. It is a session of the program that seeks and ensures that discussions result in concrete impacts that strengthen livelihoods at the grassroots level and influence national agricultural discourse.
Event Overview
The 8th Gathering of the Royals remains the premier assembly for Ghana’s most influential women leaders.
