The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) are set to position Ghana as a major player in the global horticultural industry at Fruit Logistica 2025, scheduled to take place from February 5 to 7 in Berlin.
The two institutions will lead a strong delegation of Ghana’s premier horticultural businesses to showcase the nation’s rich agricultural potential on the international stage. Ghana’s pavilion at the prestigious event will feature an impressive display of premium exports, including its world-renowned sugarloaf pineapple, tropical mangoes, and innovative fonio products.
Special pitch sessions will spotlight the country’s diverse produce range, highlighting high-demand commodities such as chilli peppers, sweet potatoes, yam, and coconuts. These sessions aim to connect Ghanaian exporters with global buyers and investors, reinforcing the country’s readiness to expand its footprint in the international horticultural market.
Mr. Davies Korboe, President of FAGE, emphasized the strategic importance of Ghana’s participation:
“Our presence at Fruit Logistica 2025 marks a crucial step in expanding Ghana’s reach in the global horticultural market. By launching the Ghana Horticulture Expo 2025 at this prestigious event, we are providing a platform to strengthen international trade relationships and showcase Ghana’s dedication to agricultural excellence.”
As part of Ghana’s ambitious $10 billion Non-Traditional Export (NTE) drive, the participation at Fruit Logistica aligns with national efforts to increase export revenue from approximately $3 billion to $10 billion by 2029.
“The Fruit Logistica event presents a prime opportunity to connect with international markets and sell Ghana as a leading agricultural hub,” he added.
The Ghana Horticulture Expo 2025, set to run throughout the three-day event, will serve as a dynamic showcase of Ghana’s horticultural sector. It will offer unparalleled networking and business opportunities for both local and international stakeholders, fostering stronger trade partnerships and investment prospects.
Ghana’s growing horticultural sector is poised for significant expansion, and with its strategic participation in Fruit Logistica, the country is set to attract major global attention, further boosting its agribusiness potential.
