The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) has partnered with Agrihouse Foundation for mega exhibition gearing up to the main 41st Farmers’ Day Celebration.
The event will be held in the Volta Regional capital, Ho, from December 1 to December 5, 2025.
The Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, Ms Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa describes this year’s exhibition as a ‘mega’ one ready to host stakeholders within the agricultural value chain. She also envisioned this year’s exhibitions to be one of the most vibrant and impactful editions with increased participation by actors in the sector.
The five-day national exhibition will make way for farmers, agribusinesses, and innovators to showcase their products such as crops, livestock, agritech innovations, agro-inputs, machineries, and value-added products amounting to a total of about four hundred exhibitors. The event will create a serene environment for networking sessions, policy dialogue, open discussions, and live demonstrations that seeks to promote agribusiness growth and rural development. This provides a lucrative opportunity to showcase Ghana’s agricultural growth and achievements within the year, celebrating industry players and promoting and patronizing home-grown commodities.
As the main organizer, Agrihouse Foundation present couple of programs to help farmers and participants in general to make the event a remarkable one. The Agrihouse Foundation have initiated a program under the theme “Farmers Clinic” where farmers would be enlightened across various subjects such as agro-products usage and application, market accessibility, financial literacy, farm management, savings and loans packages for farmers, insurance packages for farmers, investment packages for farmers, available programs and interventions from both government and private sectors and many others. on how to deal with setbacks in their fields. This programs seeks to reach and impact about one hundred thousand farmers.
The foundation will also host a masterclass dubbed “1 Household 1 Garden (1H1G), an initiative that aims to rejuvenate and promote the act of backyard farming through a power-packed training.
