Agrihouse Foundation, in collaboration with the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council, is set to host the third edition of the Ghana Agrochemical Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards (GACA), to strengthen farmer access to agricultural inputs and empower young people within the sector.
The two-day event slated for Tuesday May 5 to Wednesday May 6, 2026, at the Bonokyimpenpem Hall in Techiman, under the theme “The Foundation of Bountiful Yield – The Pride of Harvest” , seeks to emphasize the critical role of quality inputs, effective farm management, and informed decision-making in achieving higher productivity, improved livelihoods, and enhanced food security ahead of the planting season .
Speaking at the press briefing for the 3rd Ghana Agrochemicals crop Protection Exhibition and Awards , the Executive Chair for Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, described this years event as a strategic intervention designed to strengthen the agricultural value chain whiles placing a deliberate focus on youth empowerment through input dealership, creating employment opportunities while ensuring farmers have easier access to essential agricultural inputs.
According to the Executive Chair ,this year’s event will feature training sessions, crop clinics, exhibitions of agricultural products and technologies, and discounted sales of inputs for farmers and buyers.
A major highlight of the 2026 edition is the Bono East Regional Youth in Input Dealership Capacity Building Session, which aims to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to establish and manage input supply businesses, positioning them as key contributors to the agricultural value chain.She added
The Bono East Regional Minister, Hon Francis Owusu Antwi, commended Agrihouse Foundation for bringing the initiative to the region, noting that it will support farmers with access to quality inputs, improve market linkages, promote agribusiness growth and educate farmers ahead of the planting season.
He further encouraged corporate organizations, development partners, and stakeholders to support and sponsor the event to ensure its success and broaden its impact.
As a pre-planting season initiative, the intiative brings together key stakeholders, including input dealers, seed producers, machinery providers, and other agribusiness actors, to engage directly with farmers and industry players.
