The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has held a high-level meeting on Wednesday. 20th May, 2026 to discuss preparations towards a proposed Ghana–US Chamber of Commerce Trade Mission to Ghana, scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 5, 2026.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi on behalf of the Sector Minister, brought together agencies under the Ministry to deliberate on Ghana’s level of preparedness, priority projects, and key investment opportunities to be presented during the high level visit.
According to the Deputy Minister, the proposed trade mission follows the recent visit by the President of Republic, H:E John Dramani Mahama, to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the United States.
Discussions at the Ministry focused on strengthening institutional coordination ahead of the visit, including possible investment roundtable and business-to-business engagements aimed at deepening trade and investment relations between Ghana and the United States.
The meeting also outlined key sectors expected to attract investment interest during the mission, including agriculture production, Agribusiness, renewable energy, technology, and other strategic growth areas of the Ghanaian economy.
The Ministry noted that the upcoming trade mission presents an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s investment potential and further position the country as a preferred destination for international business and partnerships.
