The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), in collaboration with the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), led Ghanaian horticultural exporters to the Fruit Logistica 2025 in Berlin ,Italy where they showcased the country’s finest fresh and processed produce. .
This year’s Fruit Logistica drew over 2,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries, creating an unmatched platform for business networking, trade discussions, and innovation in the fresh produce sector. The event’s theme, “Fruitful Connections,” underscored the focus on fostering global partnerships and collaboration.
Italy emerged as a dominant presence, with over 400 exhibitors, forming a significant portion of the trade fair. Meanwhile, China, Turkey, and Egypt recorded substantial growth in participation, with China’s presence increasing by one-third and Turkey’s expanding by 12%. Israel, known for its expertise in Machinery & Technology, recorded an impressive 20% expansion at the exhibition.
Fruit Logistica 2025 provided an essential knowledge-sharing platform, with more than 100 expert speakers addressing pressing industry topics. Sessions at the Fresh Produce Forum tackled challenges such as supply chain resilience, sustainability, and regulatory changes, while the Future Lab introduced groundbreaking solutions to combat extreme weather effects on agricultural yields. Other key forums, including the Tech Stage, Logistics Hub, and Farming Forward, delved into climate-resilient agriculture, cold chain logistics, and sustainable packaging.
A highlight of the event was Startup World, which, for the first time, ran across all three days, spotlighting cutting-edge technologies in AgTech, digital farming, crop science, and post-harvest solutions. The platform provided startups with an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, potential investors, and global stakeholders.

Participants also benefited from exclusive resources such as the Trend Report 2025, which outlined emerging trade patterns and market dynamics, and the European Statistics Handbook 2025, offering valuable insights into Europe’s fruit and vegetable markets.
At the Ghana Pavilion , visitors explored a diverse range of Ghana’s horticultural offerings, including mango, pineapple, coconut, passion fruit, fonio, yam, sweet potato, and various vegetables, with the notable reintroduction of chili. Additionally, Ghanaian exhibitors presented premium freeze-dried fruits (mango, pineapple, soursop), roasted cashew, cashew spread, and other value-added agricultural products
With another successful edition completed, Fruit Logistica 2025 reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for global agricultural trade and innovation, offering an invaluable platform for Ghanaian and international exporters to expand their markets and forge strategic partnerships.
