The Country Manager for Yara Ghana Limited ,Madam Theresa Randolph, has urged young agricultural students and aspiring agripreneurs to see themselves as central to Ghana’s agricultural transformation. She encouraged them to remain focused, resilient, and innovative as they pursue careers in agribusiness.
Speaking during a study tour by participants of the 8th Agricultural Students’ Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD), organized by Agrihouse Foundation, she encouraged them to remain committed to the agricultural path they have chosen.
“Continue the good work you see in agriculture,” she said. “For too long, agriculture has remained on the sidelines in Ghana. If we truly want to achieve sustainable economic development, we must bring agriculture to the forefront.”
Ms. Randolph emphasized the need for smart crop nutrition solutions that improve yields, ensure food security, and open opportunities for export. She noted that Yara Ghana plays a critical role by providing scientifically developed fertilizers tailored to crops such as cereals and vegetables.
“At Yara Ghana, we are proud of the fertilizers we supply,” she said. “They offer complete crop nutrition for cereals, vegetables, and other commodities. Farmers consistently testify to the significant yield improvements they experience after using our products.”
In addition to highlighting the company’s impact, Ms. Randolph offered personal encouragement and career advice to the students. She challenged them to embrace hard work, learn continuously, and remain confident in their abilities.
“Work hard, pay attention to detail, and never give up,” she advised. “Sometimes a ‘no’ today may become a ‘yes’ tomorrow, depending on the choices you make and how you grow. Trust yourself. Believe in yourself. You can achieve anything you commit to.” she added
