The 3rd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards has been strengthened to impact more people especially farmers, the youth and agro-input dealers.

This impactful initiative by Agrihouse Foundation, in partnership with Bono East Regional Coordinating Council, has introduced new additions that seeks to expand its reach and impact.

The pre-planting season event is scheduled to take place from May 5 to May 6, 2026, at Bono kyempem in Techiman, under the theme, “The Foundation of Bountiful Yields: The Pride of Harvest.” The event is expected to once again bring together key players across the agrochemical and crop protection sectors to drive productivity and improve food systems.

Over the years, GACA has evolved into a critical platform for impact within Ghana’s agriculture sector. By connecting farmers, input dealers, and industry stakeholders, the initiative continues to address persistent challenges such as limited access to quality agricultural inputs, inadequate technical knowledge, and weak market linkages.

According to the Executive Chair of Agrihouse Foundation Ms Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, the event has consistently empowered farmers to make informed decisions that lead to healthier crops, increased productivity, and improved yields.

She indicated that, the growing influence of GACA is evident in its participation and reach, adding that the platform has also facilitated policy and technical discussions involving key regulatory and agricultural institutions, and helping to shape best practices within the industry beyond exhibitions.

The Executive Chair opines that, this year’s edition is expected to deepen that impact through a series of practical and interactive sessions, including exhibitions to showcase innovations, farmer-buyer matchmaking to improve market access, and crop clinic sessions where farmers will receive expert diagnosis and solutions to real-time farming challenges.

“There will also be a strong focus on youth empowerment, particularly in creating skills development and business opportunities within the agro-input dealership space”. She added.

By creating a one-stop hub for trade, learning, and collaboration, GACA continues to contribute to improved agricultural productivity and national food security.

For participating organizations, the exhibition offers a strategic opportunity to engage directly with farmers and buyers, expand distribution networks, and promote innovations that can transform farming practices across the country.

As preparations intensify toward the 2026 edition, expectations remain high that GACA will not only strengthen partnerships within the sector but also deliver tangible results reflected in increased yields and more resilient agrifood systems across Ghana.
