On November 29–30, 2025, Mulheres do Agro, in partnership with Agrihouse Foundation (Ghana), will host the first-ever International Women in Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship Congress in Brazil. This ground breaking event will unite global women leaders, policymakers, and innovators to elevate women’s leadership in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
The congress will be held across two key agricultural cities: Tarumã, São Paulo, and Londrina, Paraná, showcasing Brazil’s central role in global food production, with strong linkages to crops such as soybeans, corn, cassava, and sugarcane.
Agrihouse Foundation is mobilizing women farmers, processors, Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs), and agribusiness professionals from Ghana and across Africa to participate in this historic event.
Delegates will engage in high-level panel discussions, B2B meetings, farm visits, policy dialogues, and cultural exchanges designed to foster international collaboration, expand trade opportunities, and introduce participants to new technologies and innovations in agribusiness.
“This congress is more than an event; it is a celebration of women’s resilience and innovation in agriculture,” said Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation and the 2024 Mulheres do Agro Ambassador. “The program will also provide a platform for women farmers, processors and agripreneurs to learn, share, and access international partnerships, technologies and markets that will directly strengthen their businesses and communities. The knowledge and networks gained here will be transformative, not just for participants, but for the future of agribusiness in Ghana and Africa as a whole.”
Echoing this vision, Marcelo Souza, CEO of Grupo Manancial and Chief Editor of Revista Agrícola and Mulheres do Agro, added: “The mission of this congress is to add value and also strengthen the role of women in agribusiness by creating a space for exchange and collaboration. By connecting leaders from different countries, we are expanding women’s leadership in rural communities and paving the way for a more sustainable future.”
For Ghanaian participants, the congress presents an unmatched opportunity to build international partnerships, access new markets, attract investments, and gain insights into global best practices in agribusiness and entrepreneurship. The event is set to amplify the voices of women in agriculture, foster innovation, and create global networks that will drive transformation across the agribusiness value chain.
