The official opening of the 41st National Farmer’s Day Food and Agricultural Fair and Exhibitions was sealed with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Executive Director and Founder of Agrihouse Foundation, Ms. Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa.
In her speech, Ms. Akosa mentioned that about 315 exhibitors across the agricultural value chain are expected to participate in the exhibitions with over 135 present at the opening ceremony on Monday December 1, 2025.
She outlined that about 40 input dealers; 35 machinery companies; 11 fisheries and aquaculture companies; and 21 directorates, financial, and development agencies were present with farmer groups and associations to kick-start the event. Seeds and crops, Machinery and equipment, Mofa Directorates, Fisheries and aquaculture, Poultry and livestock, Tele-Communications, Agribusiness, Input dealers, Horticulture, Agri-processors, Development partners, financial institutions, and others across the whole agricultural value chain are taking their stands to exhibit their agricultural produce and innovations to display Ghana’s position in agriculture.

She emphasized that there are more to follow up as the days roll by before the premium day of grand durbar and awards on Friday.
Ms. Alberta emphasized on that constant collaboration among all actor within the agricultural sector has paved the way for the thriving and success of the exhibitions. She therefore appreciated the Volta Regional Coordinating Council and MoFA for their support and constant collaboration.

Ms. Akosa led the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, other high profiles and their team to inspect the the rich agricultural produce and innovations exhibited by participants at the fair.
