Co-chair of South Africa B20 Nonkululeko Nyembezi says the B20 is an inclusive, representative platform where the private sector drives solutions to create inclusive growth and prosperity through global collaboration.

Speaking at the opening of the B20 South Africa 2025 Summit taking place for the first time in Africa, Nonkululeko Nyembezi says “the AfcftA is amongst the most ambitious projects in the world today, not because it’s easy or the work is anywhere near completion, but because the strategic logic is overwhelming”. The coordination and implementation of the AfCFTA is undertaken by the AfCFTA Secretariat which is based in Accra, Ghana.

Emphasising the objectives of the She said, “South Africa G20 understands and accepts the fact that business thrives where trust, predictability and openness exist, and that is what in essence, the B20 is about”.

The B20 South Africa 2025 is on the theme, inclusive growth and prosperity through global cooperation. Established in 2010, the B20 is one of the most influential G20 Engagement Groups, bringing together business leaders from G20 member countries and beyond.

The B20 Summit has brought together business representatives from the G20 countries, selected invited countries, and international organisations to discuss economic and business issues. It serves as the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community.
