The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), in partnership with MGA Consulting Ghana Limited, has opened applications for a digital capacity-building programme designed to equip young livestock farmers with practical business and technology skills to improve the performance of their enterprises.

The initiative targets young people aged 18 to 35 living in the Greater Accra Region and aims to strengthen the use of digital tools in livestock production, financial management, and agribusiness marketing.

Practical training for agribusiness growth

Participants will receive hands-on training in key areas essential for building competitive and sustainable livestock businesses. The programme combines classroom learning with field exposure and mentorship, ensuring that participants can immediately apply the skills to their own enterprises.

Training will cover:

  • Digital record keeping for livestock enterprises

  • Financial management and business tracking

  • Digital marketing strategies for agribusinesses

  • Branding and enterprise visibility

  • Responsible and effective use of digital tools

According to the organisers, the mentorship component will provide participants with continued guidance as they implement digital solutions within their businesses.

Who can apply?

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age

  • Be engaged in or interested in livestock farming

  • Reside in the Greater Accra Region

  • Be ready to participate in training, field activities, and mentorship sessions

Application deadline: August 23, 2026

Enquiries: 0200 625 026
