Nebraska delegation led by the Co-Founder of the Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness, Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNAGTC), Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa on Thursday August 13, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana (AmCham Ghana) Secretariat to strengthen dialogue on agribusiness trade and investment between Ghana and the United States.
The delegation including Senator Ken Schilz and Senator Justin Wayne, were received by Doris Afanyedey, Chief Executive Officer of AmCham Ghana, in a meeting that highlighted the Chamber’s longstanding efforts to promote commercial partnerships and agricultural cooperation over the past two decades.
Discussions focused on identifying practical areas for collaboration across Ghana’s agricultural value chain. Key opportunities explored included livestock and poultry processing, the conversion of agricultural by-products such as rice husk and rice straw into animal feed, and investment prospects in the cashew, rice, and large-scale plantation sectors.
The two institutions also examined ways to deepen their partnership through joint agribusiness round-tables, member engagement initiatives, and continued support for delegation exchanges between Ghana and Nebraska to facilitate knowledge sharing, trade, and investment.
The meeting marks another step toward building stronger institutional relationships aimed at expanding agribusiness opportunities and enhancing bilateral trade between Ghana and the U.S. state of Nebraska, with both parties expressing optimism about future collaborative initiatives.
These strategic engagements underscore the broader vision behind the Ghana–Nebraska Agricultural Partnership of moving beyond traditional agricultural cooperation to build a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates production, processing, industrialization, investment, and trade.
