Global Affairs Canada has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women farmers as they join Agrihouse Foundation to organize the fifth Women in Food and Agricultural Leadership Training Forum (WOFAGRIC) and Gold in the Soil Awards.

Madam Candace Holt, the Second Secretary of Development for Global Affairs Canada, at the launch of this year’s event in the Western region, expressed her pride in the longstanding partnership with Agrihouse Foundation.

Global Affairs Canada also provides support to Agrihouse Foundation’s production team as they travel from district to district in various regions to document the exceptional work of our women farmers. This year, they are extending their support to cover 33 districts in the Eastern Region.

Remarkably, some groups have undertaken corporate social responsibility projects, such as constructing schools and other vital community facilities.
