President John Dramani Mahama, accompanied by the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has visited Ghato Foods Ltd, a manufacturing company producing tomato paste and other food products, at Tema.
The visit formed part of the President’s engagement with businesses and manufacturers to gain first-hand insight into their operations, challenges and contributions to the country’s industrial development.
Speaking to workers after a tour of the facility on Thursday, October 8, 2026, President Mahama encouraged them to remain committed to their work and support management in expanding the company’s operations.
He said such expansion would create more employment opportunities for young Ghanaians, while contributing to the growth and development of the Ghanaian economy.
President Mahama expressed appreciation to the management of Ghato Foods Ltd for investing in local manufacturing, noting that the establishment and expansion of production facilities were critical to creating decent jobs and strengthening the country’s industrial base.
