Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers have invested in a set of three-award winning state of the art bagging machines, expected to enhance bagging of fertilizers, cereals and grains at the port, to improve productivity and digital accuracy.

The industrially advanced machines, which have been described as the world’s fastest bagging units, are expected to package 44800 bags of 50kg fertilizers, grains and cereals in 16 hours. This will ensure that farmers in the country take delivery of their fertilizers and grains speedily.

Enepa Ventures, and AMG Fertilizers, made the purchase from Nectar Group, a leading provider of spot bagging services and long-term contracts, located in the United Kingdom.

The Managing Director of AMG Fertilizers, Mr. Ernest Akwasi Appiah, in a release said, “As Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers contributions within Ghana’s agricultural sector expand, and make concrete socio-economic impacts, so have the volumes of their imports increased. It is in this direction, that Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers see the need for additional bagging capacity in covered warehouses, to expand their operations, in order to continuously and sustainably meet the needs of farmers, Government and value chain actors.”

He said, Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers prioritizes building the capacity and transforming the livelihoods of farmers, mainly through Training programs, field demonstrations, supply of effective and high yielding crop nutrition products, at the districts, community, regional  and national levels in Ghana and other African Countries.

“Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers are therefore confident that, the Nectar equipment will enhance, expand and scale up their operations going forward. This investment will further ensure that Ghana’s agricultural development cycle continues to receive equal attention and direction,” the statement said.

For over fifteen years, Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers have been at the forefront of growing the agricultural sector in Ghana, through the importation, distribution and supply of quality agri-inputs to farmers across the 16 regions of Ghana and other West African Countries.

Nectar Group, also in a statement noted that, Nectar has been working alongside ENEPA Ventures and AMG Fertilizers; two leading Agri-input manufacturing supplies and distribution companies in Ghana for over twelve years, providing quayside-bagging services to tie into their well-organized logistics chain.

“Having seen firsthand the performance, durability and mobility of the machines, Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers are confident that investing in Nectar equipment will provide the highest value to their operations and most importantly, contribute significantly, in growing Ghana’s Agricultural input market, whiles satisfying the needs of Farmers,” their statement said.

They said Nectar’s team of international technicians will therefore assist Enepa Ventures and AMG Fertilizers through the set up phase and will continue to offer support on the ground.

“Our head office engineers and aftersales team will provide remote support for the many years ahead. We thoroughly appreciate our working relationship with ENEPA Ventures and AMG Fertilizers, and are looking forward to growing with them hand in hand,” it said.
