Actor and Politician, John Dumelo has announced that he will be distributing some ginger seedlings to over 120 farmers in the Guan district in the Oti Region.
In a post on Facebook , the actor revealed that this move is to help boost ginger production and create jobs for women and youth in the district.
“I launched the women/youth in Agric program in the Guan district over the weekend. Free ginger seedlings will be distributed to over 120 farmers across the District to boost ginger production and create more jobs this farming season. Together we can make Ghana a better place. 🙏🏿” He wrote
This his free ginger distribution program comes few weeks after he announced the construction of a food processing factory in the District. Which he said is expected to be completed within 14 months.
He said the factory will have a production capacity of 1500 tonnes of ginger and other products in a year.
He added it would also help create some 750 direct and indirect jobs in the Guan district in the Oti Region.
