Agrihouse Foundation is officially ready to kick off the 9th edition of the Agricultural Students’ Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD Africa) this coming Monday, June 15, 2026, marking the commencement of an intensive, week-long residential program designed to equip students and young graduates with the practical skills, mentorship, and market insights needed to thrive in the modern agricultural sector.
The 9th edition this impactful programme is set to commence from Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 19, 2026, under the theme “Enabling and Establishing the Agri-Youth to Feed Ghana.”
The six-day event will bring together agricultural students, early-stage agribusinesses, young agripreneurs, and key industry stakeholders for an engaging experience focused on mentorship, practical learning, innovation, career development, and agribusiness exposure.
The annual Agricultural Students’ Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD Bootcamp) continues to strengthen its position as one of Ghana’s leading youth-focused agribusiness mentorship and leadership development interventions.
Operating under its core mandate of fostering sustainable agribusiness development and youth inclusion, the bootcamp provides an experiential learning platform where theoretical knowledge meets real-world application.
The Foundation has put together a dynamic and rigorous itinerary for the week:
Sunday: Arrival and Registration
The bootcamp experience begins on Sunday as selected participants from various agricultural colleges, universities, and institutions across the region arrive at the venue to complete their official registrations and settle in for the intensive week ahead.
Monday: Opening Ceremony
The program officially opens on Monday morning with a high-profile opening ceremony. This session will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, development partners, and agricultural stakeholders to welcome the “Ag-Studs” and set the strategic theme for the week’s training.
Tuesday: Corporate Mentorship & Professional Coaching
On Tuesday, the focus shifts entirely to professional capacity building. Leading agricultural executives, corporate players, and business coaches will engage the participants in interactive mentorship circles, offering tailored career advice, personal branding strategies, and entrepreneurial guidance.
Wednesday: Field Tour at Ahodwo Farms
To practicalize classroom concepts, Wednesday will feature an immersive field tour at Ahodwo Farms. This experiential field trip will expose participants to commercial farming operations, modern agronomic practices, supply chain logistics, and technological innovations directly deployed on the field.
Thursday: Dining and Mentorship with the Patron
Thursday evening blends networking with executive mentorship. Participants will gather for an exclusive dining experience and close-circle mentorship session with the esteemed Patron of the program, offering a rare opportunity for the youth to garner wisdom from an institutional icon in African agriculture.
Friday: Agri Inter-Institutional Pitch Competition (Grand Climax)
The entire bootcamp climaxes on Friday with the competitive Agri Inter-Institutional Pitch Competition. Student cohorts representing different institutions will pitch their innovative agribusiness solutions and business concepts before a panel of judges, competing for seed funding, institutional support, and tech prizes to bring their ideas to fruition.
The Ag-Stud Bootcamp Africa has grown to become a premier launching pad for young agricultural entrepreneurs on the continent. By bridging the gap between industry and academia, Agrihouse Foundation continues to ensure that the next generation of farmers, tech innovators, and agri-processors are fully prepared to lead Africa’s agricultural transformation and secure food sustainability.
There are 19 participating schools in this year’s edition, including University of Ghana (Legon), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Cape Coast (UCC), University of Education, Winniba, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Presbyterian University College, Ho Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, Kwadaso Agriculture College, Animal Health and Production College, Methodist University, Asuasi Farm Institute, University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies, and all agricultural colleges, tertiary institutions, and some selected Senior High Schools across the country.
The Bootcamp will also feature seasoned industry professionals, agribusiness experts, successful farmers, corporate executives, policymakers, development organizations, and experienced mentors who will guide participants through practical sessions aimed at preparing them for the realities and opportunities within the agrifood ecosystem.
Over the years, AG-STUD has produced several success stories, impacting over 2,000 past participants with many establishing agribusiness ventures, input shops, securing internships and employment opportunities, and taking up leadership roles within the agricultural sector. The initiative has also contributed significantly to changing negative perceptions about agriculture among the youth.
Since its inception 8 years ago, the initiative has directly and indirectly impacted 20,000 young people across Ghana, nurturing aspiring agripreneurs and creating pathways for sustainable employment and agribusiness growth. The programme has also become a strong platform for connecting students with industry players, corporate institutions, policymakers, agribusiness investors, and development partners.
Agrihouse Foundation continues to call on government institutions, development agencies, private sector actors, agribusiness companies, and stakeholders within the agricultural ecosystem to support youth-centered agricultural initiatives of this kind that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable food systems development.
