Agromonti, a leading agrochemical company, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable farming practices by partnering with Agrihouse Foundation for the second time to host the 2nd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards. The event is set to take place at the Techiman Community Center from Thursday, March 27th to Friday, March 28th, 2025.under the theme :Sustaining the Climate and Environment -The Role of Input Dealers

Speaking at the press briefing for the 2nd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards in Accra , Mr. Dominic Donkoh, Managing Partner and Technical Director of Agromonti, explained the company’s decision to continue its collaboration with Agrihouse Foundation.

“Our partnership with Agrihouse Foundation is built on shared values and a common vision to promote sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices in Ghana. The first edition of this event was highly impactful, creating awareness about responsible agrochemical use and fostering collaboration among industry players. Given its success, we saw it as a responsibility to strengthen our partnership for this second edition, ensuring that more farmers and stakeholders benefit from innovative and eco-friendly crop protection solutions,” Mr. Donkoh stated.

He emphasized that while agrochemicals play a vital role in enhancing crop yields and food security, their improper use can harm the environment. He called on industry players to prioritize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and support the development of more biodegradable, non-toxic, and sustainable agrochemical products.

Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, commended Agromonti for its continued support and dedication to advancing responsible agrochemical use in Ghana.

“This partnership reflects Agromonti’s strong commitment to the growth of Ghana’s agricultural sector. At Agrihouse Foundation, we believe that collaboration is key to achieving a resilient and environmentally sustainable farming system. This event provides a critical platform for stakeholders to engage, learn, and embrace modern, sustainable practices that will safeguard our farmlands and food security for future generations,” she said.

The 2nd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards will serve as a strategic meeting point for farmers, agrochemical companies, policymakers, researchers, and environmental experts. The event will feature exhibitions of cutting-edge agrochemical products, expert-led discussions on climate-smart agriculture, and an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding contributions in the sector.
