The Chief Executive Officer of GrowForMe Ghana has urged Ghanaians to be active and part of the change in agriculture and agribusiness in the country by investing into the sector.
Speaking at the AgriTech edition of the Africa Digital Dialogue on Friday, November 21, 2025, Nana Poku indicated that investment in the agric sector is key and capable of changing the game for the country.
He said that investments made into the sector will initiate change and cause it to grow, highlighting that one’s investment would go a long way to help farmers.
According to him, venturing into agriculture is not just about farming but becoming a digital farmer with your investments can make one enjoy the proceeds. He revealed that the sector holds a potential worth of about $5 billion suggesting that Ghana’s agricultural sector is a lucrative field investors should consider.
“by investing into agriculture, you now provide high quality input like seeds to farmers, fertilizers, a tractor and a plough for the farmer to stop using the hoe.” Also, “through your investments, farmers acquire warehouses to host their harvest and sell when the price is right, and through your investments farmers can access the market and sell at anytime that they want.” he said.
He added that, Ghana loses a huge amount of food annually valued at $1.5 billion which require interventions to salvage the situations.
He stated that for this reason, GrowForMe digital investment platform has been developed to help Ghanaians invest into Ghana’s agricultural value chain to make the sector vibrant and prosperous.
