The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has underscored the importance of international collaboration in driving Ghana’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy.
Speaking after a meeting with representatives from the American-Jewish Committee (AJC) in Accra, Mr. Jinapor said partnerships with global institutions are vital to achieving Ghana’s green transition goals, which align with the country’s broader agenda for sustainable economic growth and environmental responsibility.
The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, including clean cooking initiatives, renewable energy deployment and rural electrification projects aimed at expanding access to affordable power across the country.
Mr. Jinapor reaffirmed government’s commitment to promoting renewable energy and sustainability, stressing that international collaboration will help unlock financing, innovation and technical expertise needed to accelerate Ghana’s energy transformation.
He also expressed confidence that engagements with partners such as the AJC would yield practical outcomes that support energy security, green jobs and long-term climate resilience.
