There has been a slight increase in the prices of petroleum products at various pumps since the second pricing window of January 2025.
Some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), such as Shell and Goil, have raised their petrol and diesel prices.
Petrol, previously priced at GH¢14.99 per litre during the first pricing window, is now being sold at GH¢15.74. Diesel, which was previously priced at GH¢15.60 per litre, is now priced at GH¢15.77 at Goil.
At Shell, petrol is now priced at GH¢15.59, up from GH¢15.30 per litre, while diesel is now GH¢15.79, up from GH¢15.66 per litre.
The increase in the prices of these petroleum products has been linked to the high prices of crude oil on the international market.
Additionally, the depreciation of the local currency is also a significant factor contributing to the rise in petrol and diesel prices.
However, some OMCs, like Total Energies and Star Oil, have not yet adjusted their prices.
