The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) welcomed 65 students from the University of Cape Coast School of Business for an educational visit to its headquarters within the Africa Trade House in Accra.
The event, held on Friday, May 23, 2025, was organized by the GEPA Impact Hub in partnership with the University of Cape Coast Association of Business Students (UCCABS).
Addressing the students, the Deputy CEO (Operations & Admin) of GEPA, Ambrose Edwin Nsarkoh, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote a conducive environment for the development of youth-led enterprises.
He encouraged them to identify business opportunities and develop ideas that align with the government’s 24-hour Economy framework.
The President of UCCABS, Samuel Owusu Ahenkye, expressed his gratitude to GEPA for the opportunity and pledged to organize further trips for students to familiarize themselves with key trade promotion organizations.
The visit also included a facility and exhibition tour, as well as networking sessions.
Presentations were made by Abdallah Zakari Banda, Head of Services Department, GEPA and Frederick Sogbe, Founder of Zayn Organic Cosmetics Limited.
Lord Kweku Sekyi, Manager of the GEPA Impact Hub, described the event as an opportunity for GEPA to educate, inspire, and engage future business leaders in Ghana’s export sector.
He added that the centre is fully equipped to assist exporters and potential exporters in obtaining the requisite information and certifications for international trade.
