The Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber has officially begun preparations for its upcoming international trade mission with the successful hosting of its first onboarding meeting for selected Ghanaian delegates.
The meeting , held in Accra, marks the lead-up to the 2025 Husker Harvest Days and the 3rd Trade and Investment Activity, scheduled to take place from 9th to16th September , 2025, in Nebraska, United States.
The onboarding meeting served as an essential orientation platform by providing delegates with insights into the itinerary, objectives, and the wide range of international trade and investment opportunities they will encounter .
Speaking at the onboarding meeting , Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, Co-Founder of the Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber and Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, described the upcoming event as a transformational platform for Ghanaian agribusinesses ready to scale up and innovate.
According to her , the 2025 Husker Harvest Days and the 3rd Trade and Investment Activity ,presents an unparalleled opportunity for Ghanaian agribusinesses to plug into global networks, experience technology-driven agriculture firsthand, and build sustainable trade and investment relationships.
She added that delegates can look forward to live demonstrations of cutting-edge farming systems, tailored B2B matchmaking sessions, institutional tours, and roundtable discussions with U.S. agribusiness leaders and investors.
To ensure participants are fully prepared to maximize these engagements, she emphasized that the Chamber will provide pre-departure training on brand positioning for international markets, agribusiness financing, export documentation, and trade policy navigation. This, she said, will ensure Ghanaian businesses present themselves as globally competitive and investment-ready.
The event will also focus on several high-impact thematic areas, including agricultural mechanization, irrigation systems, improved input application, crop and livestock production, climate-smart agriculture, and the inclusion of youth and women in agribusiness. It will also promote opportunities for joint ventures, contract farming, and value-added processing, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and increased productivity.
