Global Affairs Canada has reaffirmed its commitment to providing comprehensive support for the agriculture sector in the country, by actively assisting and empowering  women farmers.

The support provided includes financial resources, technical expertise, and capacity-building programs. These initiatives have played a crucial role in empowering women farmers, fostering gender equality, and facilitating their active participation in the agricultural value chain.

Global affairs canada,  have also provided financial services that enable women farmers to access technology and equipment, reducing the labour-intensive nature of post-production activities. The Women in Food and Agricultural leadership training forum WOFAGRIC and Gold in the Soil Awards have been instrumental in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women in agriculture and promoting sustainable agribusiness practices. These awards serve as a platform for displaying excellence, inspiring others to strive for similar achievements, and facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration within the agricultural community.

She expressed confidence in the continued success and impact of the WOFAGRIC and Gold in the Soil Awards. She highlighted that Global Affairs Canada remains committed to supporting the Agrihouse Foundation and its initiatives, recognizing their transformative potential and alignment with global development goals.

the 5th Annual WOFAGRIC and Gold in the Soil Awards marked another significant milestone in the partnership between Global Affairs Canada and the Agrihouse Foundation.
