The city of Ho, in the Volta Region, is set to host the largest National Farmers’ Day exhibition to date, as part of activities marking Ghana’s 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration, scheduled for December 1 to 5, 2025.
The five-day National exhibition, jointly facilitated by the Agrihouse Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), will bring together farmers, agribusinesses, innovators, and key stakeholders from across the country to showcase Ghana’s agricultural achievements, innovations, and investment opportunities.
The event will feature exhibitions of crops, livestock, agritech innovations, agro-inputs, machineries   and value-added products, alongside networking sessions, policy dialogues, open discussions, and live demonstrations aimed at promoting agribusiness growth and rural development.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms. Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, said this year’s exhibition promises to be one of the most vibrant and impactful editions yet, with increased participation from agribusinesses, companies, stakeholders, and input dealers from across the country.
“This year’s Ho Exhibition will be a mega celebration of Ghana’s agriculture sector. We are witnessing overwhelming interest from companies, stakeholders, and input dealers who are coming in their numbers to exhibit, connect, and do business,” Ms. Akosa stated.
“Beyond the exhibitions, there will be a rich lineup of activities including open discussions, interactive workshops, and live demonstrations, all designed to inspire innovation, build networks, and strengthen partnerships across the agricultural value chain,” she added.
“We encourage everyone, farmers, agripreneurs, agribusiness investors, and the general public, to join us from December 1 to 5 in Ho. It will be an incredible opportunity to buy quality local products, form new partnerships, and explore market linkages that can grow businesses and sustain livelihoods,” she emphasized.
“The Ho Exhibition will showcase the full agricultural value chain from production to processing and marketing, and demonstrate how innovation, youth participation, and collaboration are driving the future of food security in Ghana. We look forward to welcoming farmers, partners, and the public to Ho this December for this historic celebration,” Ms. Akosa concluded.
Speaking at the launch of the 41st National Farmers Day, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, commended Ghana’s farmers for their continued dedication and innovation in sustaining the nation’s food systems.
“Our farmers remain the backbone of our economy. As we mark the 41st National Farmers Day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an enabling environment for agriculture to thrive. The Ho exhibition will provide a unique opportunity to celebrate our farmers, share knowledge, and explore new technologies that can transform the sector,” the Minister said.
This year’s National Farmers Day will be celebrated under the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure Ghana”, with a series of activities including the farmers’ awards ceremony, educational seminars, and regional exhibitions, all designed to honor the men and women who feed the nation.
The Ho Exhibition is expected to attract thousands of participants including policymakers, agripreneurs, investors, researchers, and students, reinforcing Ghana’s position as a hub for agricultural innovation and sustainable development.
