The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Setor Dumelo, has expressed his eagerness to work alongside the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, following his nomination as Deputy Minister-designate for the sector.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on February 6, 2025, Dumelo conveyed his excitement about officially beginning his duties at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
Responding to a congratulatory message from Minister Eric Opoku, Dumelo expressed his admiration for his new boss and pledged his commitment to working collaboratively to transform Ghana’s agricultural sector.
“Thanks so much, Senior. Can’t wait to begin working with you to transform the agric sector. I have always admired you and your contributions. Have an amazing morning, my boss,” Dumelo wrote.
His appointment was announced on February 5, 2025, by the Acting Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, following his nomination by President John Mahama.
Dumelo, a well-known actor, entrepreneur, and politician, has been a strong advocate for agricultural development and youth participation in farming.
