Dr. Comfort Acheampong, the National Coordinator for the Ghana National Egg Secretariat, has called on the government and the general public to invest in the youth to shape the future of the Country.
Speaking at the International Youth Day celebration organized by the World Food Forum Ghana Chapter at Accra Academy Senior High School, Dr. Acheampong emphasized the role that young people play in fostering nation’s development.
“The future of our nation lies in the hands of our youth,” she remarked. “It is imperative that we invest in them, providing them with the resources, education, and opportunities they need to become leaders and innovators.”
She highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent in various sectors, particularly in agriculture, where there is a growing need for innovative approaches to ensure food security and sustainability. “By empowering our youth, we are not just investing in their individual futures, but in the future of Ghana as a whole.”
Dr. Acheampong also addressed the challenges that young people often face, urging them to seek help and guidance from experts when encountering difficulties. “Don’t be afraid to ask for help,” she advised. “There are many experienced professionals who are willing and able to guide you through challenges. Seeking advice is a sign of strength, not weakness.”
The event, which brought together hundreds of students, focused on inspiring the next generation to take an active role in shaping the future of the agricultural sector in Ghana. Through various presentations and discussions, the youth were encouraged to explore the diverse career opportunities within agriculture and other vital industries.
