Agrihouse Foundation has launched the third edition of the Ghana Chicken Festival, scheduled to take place on July 1st, 2023, at the forecourt of the state house. The festival is aimed at promoting the production, consumption, and patronage of local poultry products in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of the festival, Ms. Alberta Akyaa Akosa, the Executive Director of the Agrihouse Foundation, highlighted the importance of the poultry industry to Ghana’s economy and called for increased support for poultry farmers. “The poultry industry is a vital part of Ghana’s economy, providing jobs and income for thousands of people. It is time for us to recognize the hard work of our poultry farmers and the contribution they make to our nation,” she said.
The Ghana chicken festival aims to celebrate the contributions of the poultry industry to the Ghanaian economy and raise awareness about the importance of supporting local poultry farmers. Attendees can look forward to enjoying a variety of chicken dishes, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities with industry experts.
With the launch of this year’s festival, the Agrihouse Foundation hopes to further strengthen the poultry industry in Ghana and encourage more people to support locally produced poultry products. This is particularly important given the increasing demand for poultry products in Ghana and the growing recognition of the importance of supporting local farmers and businesses.
