Mr. Anthony Aidoo, the Chair of the National Steering Committee for the World Food Forum (WFF) Ghana Chapter, has called for the need in involving the youth in advancing a sustainable agricultural future in Ghana.
Mr. Aidoo outlined the WFF Ghana Chapter’s commitment to leveraging the energy and innovative potential of young people. “The WFF Ghana Chapter is dedicated to transforming Ghana’s agri-food systems by promoting sustainable practices and influencing agricultural policies through active youth participation,” he explained. “By doing so, we aim to foster actionable solutions that lead to a more sustainable and food-secure future.”
He reiterated that the Chapter’s mandate is to cultivate a new generation of leaders focused on sustainability and food security. “Today’s youth are tomorrow’s innovators. Engaging them now is an investment in a future where Ghana’s agri-food systems are resilient, sustainable, and equitable,” Mr. Aidoo remarked.
He urged the students to actively engage in agriculture to contribute to securing a better food future for the country.
The WFF Ghana Chapter’s International Youth Day celebration sought to inspire and equip the next generation with the knowledge and tools necessary to drive agricultural innovation and sustainability.
