Agrihouse Foundation is set to host the 9th edition of its flagship Agricultural Students’ Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD Africa) from Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 19, 2026.
The six-day event will bring together agricultural students, early-stage agribusinesses, young agripreneurs, and key industry stakeholders for an engaging experience focused on mentorship, practical learning, innovation, career development, and agribusiness exposure.
The annual Agricultural Students’ Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Bootcamp (AG-STUD Bootcamp) continues to strengthen its position as one of Ghana’s leading youth-focused agribusiness mentorship and leadership development interventions.
The AG-STUD Bootcamp is a practical agribusiness capacity-building initiative designed to equip agricultural students, early-stage agribusinesses, and young entrepreneurs with the skills, exposure, mentorship, and leadership training needed to thrive within the agricultural and agrifood systems.
Over the years, the Bootcamp has evolved into a transformative platform that bridges the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience. Through intensive mentorship sessions, agribusiness coaching, field tours, career conversations, business pitch opportunities, and practical exposure visits, participants are empowered to appreciate agriculture as a viable, profitable, and impactful career path.
Since its inception 8 years ago, the initiative has directly and indirectly impacted 20,000 young people across Ghana, nurturing aspiring agripreneurs and creating pathways for sustainable employment and agribusiness growth. The programme has also become a strong platform for connecting students with industry players, corporate institutions, policymakers, agribusiness investors, and development partners.
Over the years, AG-STUD has produced several success stories, impacting over 2,000 past participants with many establishing agribusiness ventures, input shops, securing internships and employment opportunities, and taking up leadership roles within the agricultural sector. The initiative has also contributed significantly to changing negative perceptions about agriculture among the youth.
This year’s edition is expected to bring together participants from agricultural colleges, universities, farm institutes, senior high schools, and early-stage agribusinesses from across the country. Beneficiaries will undergo a six-day intensive bootcamp experience focused on leadership grooming, agribusiness innovation, entrepreneurship development, digital agriculture, financial literacy, climate-smart agriculture, and practical business management.
Speaking on the significance of the 9th edition, the Executive Chair of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, noted that the Foundation is committed to improving the AG-STUD Bootcamp to continue developing confident, innovative, and solution-driven agri-youth who can contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s food security agenda and agricultural transformation.
According to her, agriculture presents enormous opportunities for young people beyond farming, including agritech, agribusiness management, food processing, logistics, marketing, agricultural communications, input dealership, and climate-smart innovations.
The Bootcamp will feature seasoned industry professionals, agribusiness experts, successful farmers, corporate executives, policymakers, development organizations, and experienced mentors who will guide participants through practical sessions aimed at preparing them for the realities and opportunities within the agrifood ecosystem.
Participants will also engage in business development challenges, group presentations, networking sessions, and agribusiness pitch opportunities designed to help refine their business ideas and prepare them for the competitive agricultural marketplace.
Agrihouse Foundation continues to call on government institutions, development agencies, private sector actors, agribusiness companies, and stakeholders within the agricultural ecosystem to support youth-centered agricultural initiatives that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable food systems development.
The Foundation believes that investing in young people through practical agricultural mentorship and leadership programmes remains one of the strongest pathways toward building a resilient and food-secured Ghana.
