Qualiplast Ghana Limited has reaffirmed its support for rural women farmers, farmers with disabilities and agribusinesses through its sponsorship of Agrihouse Foundation’s flagship Women in Food and Agricultural Leadership Training Forum (WOFAGRIC) and Gold in the Soil Awards held in Damongo in the Savannah Region.
The two-day impactful event which celebrated under the theme: “Closing the Gender Gap: Empowering Rural Women Farmers Through Equitable Access to Finance, Mechanization, Agricultural Inputs and Extension Services” brought together stakeholders in the agricultural value chain to celebrate the contribution of the rural woman farmer.
Qualiplast Ghana limited participated in the 8th edition of the program as a sponsor and trainer, joining other partners and agricultural stakeholders to support women farmers with knowledge and practical solutions aimed at improving their businesses.
Speaking during the event, the Sales Manager at Qualiplast Ghana Limited, Mr. Henry Obeng, said the company was pleased to once again support Agrihouse Foundation, describing the partnership as one that has grown over the years.
According to him, Qualiplast’s involvement in WOFAGRIC is part of its commitment to supporting farmers and contributing to the success of initiatives that recognize the important role women play in agriculture.

Qualiplast Ghana Limited manufactures hard plastic packaging products used by businesses and individuals across different sectors. For farmers, the company provides packaging solutions that can be particularly useful after harvesting.
Mr. Henry explained that one of the challenges farmers face after producing their crops is finding suitable containers to safely store and package their produce. Poor packaging can affect the quality of farm products and reduce their value in the market.
He said Qualiplast therefore sees an opportunity to help farmers protect their produce and improve post-harvest handling through appropriate plastic packaging.
“We are here basically to help enrich the whole event and make it a success,” he said, expressing appreciation to Agrihouse Foundation for the continued collaboration.

The company’s participation also included training and interaction with women farmers, giving participants an opportunity to learn about the importance of proper packaging and post-harvest management.
For many smallholder farmers, producing a good harvest is only part of the journey. How the produce is handled, stored and transported can determine whether farmers receive good value for their hard work. Qualiplast’s support therefore adds an important dimension to the wider goal of helping women farmers improve their businesses from production through to the market.
Mr. Henry also congratulated all the women farmers nominated for the 2026 Gold in the Soil Awards. He praised them for their hard work and commitment to ensuring that food reaches households and communities across the country.
He wished all the nominees the best of luck and expressed the hope that the recognition would encourage more women to continue working hard in agriculture.

The partnership between Qualiplast and Agrihouse foundation reflects the growing role of private-sector organizations in supporting women in agriculture. Through sponsorship, training and practical solutions, the company continues to contribute to efforts aimed at improving farming, strengthening agribusinesses and reducing post-harvest challenges.
As the women farmers gathered in Damongo to share knowledge, build networks and celebrate their achievements, Qualiplast’s message was clear: supporting farmers does not end at the farm gate. Providing the right solutions for handling and protecting their produce is equally important in helping them turn their hard work into sustainable businesses.
