Innovators are being celebrated at the Great Yorkshire Show for changing the face of agriculture through technology and fresh ideas.
The Great Yorkshire Show Innovation Awards return in 2026 to highlight groundbreaking achievements in farming and inspire new approaches to industry challenges.
Entries will remain open until Monday, May 11, 2026, with finalists given the chance to showcase their work at the Harrogate show, which runs from Tuesday, July 14, when winners will be announced, to Friday, July 17.
Dr David George, chairman of the Farmer Scientist Network, said: “Adopting new technology is essential to help farm businesses operate as efficiently, resiliently and productively as possible
“Investment in these solutions can underpin all sorts of benefits, from aiding a business to make significant savings in the long run, to helping overcome labour pressures, admin and HR, and supporting first-class animal welfare standards.
“These Awards celebrate all of this.”
The awards programme is organised by the Farmer Scientist Network and supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The awards champion the role of science and technology in driving agricultural progress.
Categories cover the Engineering Innovation Award, the Digital Innovation Award, the Practical Farm Innovation Award, the On-Farm Early Adopter of the Year, and the UK Agri-Tech Start Up Award.
A new category, the Practical Farm Innovation Award, will also be introduced this year.

Businesses do not need to have a trade stand at the show to apply.
An overall winner will also be considered for the Champion White Rose Innovation Trophy at the Show, which celebrates entrepreneurs who are redefining the future of farming.
The overall winner last year was DeLaval Plus, an AI platform that extracts herd data and turns it into easy-to-understand insights.
The platform helps farmers make fast, accurate and actionable decisions.
Now in its 167th year, the Great Yorkshire Show will once again celebrate British agriculture, drawing 140,000 visitors and featuring 8,500 exhibiting animals.
